Disclaimer

Last updated:

This Disclaimer applies to the VanlyFacture website, the electricity planner tools, articles, and related content (together, the “Services”). It works together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge the limits below.

1. General

The Services are provided for planning, estimation, and learning only. They are not a substitute for qualified on-site assessment, licensed or regulated professional services where those apply, manufacturer documentation, or compliance with electrical codes, vehicle regulations, and safety standards in your jurisdiction.

2. No warranty

Information, calculators, numbers, and suggestions on the Services may contain errors or become outdated. We do not warrant that any output is accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation. You use the Services at your own risk, to the fullest extent permitted by law. See also the warranty disclaimers in our Terms of Use.

3. Not professional advice; consulting

Using the Services does not create an engineer–client relationship or a duty to advise you on your specific installation. Content may reflect professional engineering education and experience, but it remains general information for a broad audience—not retained, site-specific professional work unless we have agreed to that separately in writing (for example paid consulting with its own scope and terms).

You are solely responsible for decisions about design, components, installation, inspection, and use of your electrical system.

4. Safety and installation

Working with batteries, inverters, solar, alternators, shore power, and DC/AC circuits can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or death if done incorrectly. Always follow applicable codes, manufacturer instructions, fuse and cable sizing practices, and local requirements. If you are unsure, stop and consult a qualified professional before proceeding.

5. Calculator results and assumptions

Planner outputs depend on the data you enter, default assumptions built into the tools, and simplifications for usability. They are not a guarantee of real-world performance, runtime, charging behaviour, or component compatibility. Field conditions (temperature, wiring quality, device behaviour, BMS settings, etc.) differ from any model.

6. Third-party products and links

References to brands, products, or third-party sites are for illustration or education unless stated otherwise. We do not endorse any particular supplier. Specifications and certifications change—verify details with the manufacturer or seller before you buy or install.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VanlyFacture and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage (including direct, indirect, or consequential loss, personal injury, or property damage) arising from or related to your use of or reliance on the Services, or from any installation or use of equipment based on them. Caps and further exclusions may apply as set out in our Terms of Use.

9. Changes

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Disclaimer, except where applicable law requires a different process.
